Transportation Training Supervisor

About the role

The Transportation Training Supervisor is responsible for improving trailer drivers’ practical driving skills and safety awareness. This role designs and delivers induction, ongoing safety, and performance training, while assessing driver competence to ensure operational compliance and transport efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct induction training for newly hired trailer drivers, covering driving‑skill standards and safety procedures.
• Assess drivers regularly on driving skills, safety performance and overall work performance; provide corrective coaching or refresher training as needed.
• Participate in driver recruitment interviews, evaluating candidates’ experience, safety awareness and suitability.
• Deliver regular safety‑awareness sessions on safe driving, vehicle inspections, accident prevention and emergency response.
• Monitor training, assessment, accident and traffic‑violation data, identify risks and recommend improvement actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Valid Ghana Class F driving licence.
• Minimum five years of trailer‑driving experience with strong knowledge of safe‑driving practices.
• Experience in driver training, fleet management or safety management is preferred.
