Trust and Safety Analyst (Remote)

About the role

The Trust and Safety Analyst safeguards platform integrity and user well‑being by detecting, investigating, and mitigating harmful content and online abuse. Working remotely, you will collaborate with product, engineering, policy, and legal teams to keep the community safe.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in‑depth investigations of harassment, hate speech, misinformation, illegal and other risky content.
• Apply and interpret internal policies with high accuracy, identifying gaps and proposing updates.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to improve detection tools and reduce harmful content at scale.
• Analyze data to uncover new abuse vectors (spam, scams, coordinated inauthentic behavior) and proactively escalate.
• Handle sensitive user escalations in a trauma‑informed manner and serve as primary contact for high‑priority cases, including law‑enforcement requests.
• Provide regular insights to Policy, Product, and Legal teams to shape policy and product decisions.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in Trust & Safety, Risk Operations, or Intelligence Analysis within tech/social media.
• Strong emotional intelligence and self‑care strategies for exposure to disturbing content.
• Fluent English with excellent written communication and the ability to explain complex policy decisions.
• Proven ability to make rapid, high‑stakes decisions under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Trust & Safety tools such as Salesforce and Jira.
• Experience with moderation dashboards and AI/automation workflows.
• Data analysis and visualization using Tableau, Looker, or similar.
• Basic SQL for pulling and interpreting safety metrics.
