Account Officer

About the role

The Accounts Officer will manage day‑to‑day financial transactions for a fast‑growing last‑mile delivery operation. Working at the intersection of finance and logistics, the role requires close collaboration with operations, dispatch and client management teams to ensure accurate record‑keeping and timely reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and issue client invoices based on delivery volumes.
• Reconcile payments, follow up on overdue accounts and manage cash‑on‑delivery collections.
• Maintain accounts receivable ledgers, aging reports, payables and expense control.
• Process rider allowances, incentive payments and reconcile petty‑cash and operational float accounts.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close, including bank reconciliations and audit‑ready documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in logistics, e‑commerce or transport.
• Strong understanding of double‑entry bookkeeping and monthly cash reconciliation at scale.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
