Accountant – Buildings Project

About the role

Renco Spa is seeking an experienced Accountant to join the Buildings project team in Accra. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting tax compliance, and ensuring smooth day‑to‑day accounting operations.

Key responsibilities

• Record accounts payable and receivable invoices.
• Maintain the general ledger and perform daily journal entries.
• Execute bank reconciliations and monitor cash flows.
• Prepare VAT returns and assist with tax compliance activities.
• Manage customer and supplier account records.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Produce financial and accounting reports for management.
• Provide documentation for external auditors and tax consultants.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and local tax regulations.
• Ability to work accurately and meet reporting deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP/accounting software such as SAP, Sage, or Oracle.
