Airline Ticketing Officer (Travel & Tours)

About the role

A reputable Travel and Tours company is looking for an experienced Airline Ticketing Officer. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of practical experience in airline reservations and ticketing and is proficient in Amadeus and/or Galileo GDS.

Key responsibilities

• Handle domestic and international flight reservations, bookings and ticket issuance.
• Use Amadeus and/or Galileo to search flight availability, fares and schedules.
• Process ticket reissuance, cancellations, refunds and itinerary changes.
• Advise clients on flight options, fare rules, baggage allowances and travel requirements.
• Prepare travel itineraries and provide accurate fare quotations.
• Maintain accurate booking records and comply with airline ticketing procedures.
• Liaise with airlines and other travel service providers to resolve booking and ticketing issues.
• Deliver excellent customer service and respond promptly to client enquiries.

Required profile

• HND or Bachelor's degree in Tourism, Hospitality Management, Travel and Tourism, Business Administration or a related field.
• IATA certification or a recognised professional qualification in Airline Ticketing and Reservations is an added advantage.
• Relevant experience in airline ticketing and reservations, preferably in a travel and tours company or travel agency.

Required skills

• Demonstrated hands-on proficiency in Amadeus and/or Galileo GDS (mandatory).
• Good understanding of airline fare rules, ticketing procedures and reservation management.
• Experience handling ticket reissuance, refunds and cancellations.
• Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
