Analyst, Field Services

About the role

The Analyst, Field Services will support in‑cabin mining technology solutions and communication systems at Newmont's Ahafo South mine. You will ensure minimal downtime, assist with technology projects, and provide technical support to operators and users.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and support fleet management, fatigue monitoring, and collision detection systems.
• Maintain surface and underground communication systems including Wi‑Fi, Private LTE, leaky feeder, and two‑way digital radio.
• Monitor IT/OT performance, implement preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot issues.
• Assist in technology project implementation and vendor/contractor supervision.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related field.
• 2–3 years experience supporting mining technology solutions.
• Valid driver’s license (Category B).

Required skills

• Fleet management system support (e.g., Minestar).
• Fatigue management and collision detection technologies.
• Wi‑Fi, Private LTE, leaky feeder, two‑way digital radio configuration.
• IT/OT systems monitoring and optimization.
• Fiber technology and radio‑frequency/antenna knowledge.
• Advanced troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
