Architect – Design & Construction Lead

About the role

We are seeking a visionary and experienced Architect to lead the architectural integrity of our projects, ensuring that approved designs are accurately translated into construction on site.

Key responsibilities

• Review architectural designs produced by lead architects for alignment with project requirements and constructability.
• Conduct design risk assessments during the pre‑construction stage.
• Interpret drawings, specifications, and details for implementation by project and site teams.
• Ensure accurate execution of approved designs during construction.
• Perform regular site visits to monitor compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance to engineers, contractors, and subcontractors on architectural details and finishes.
• Monitor architectural variations and control design‑related cost escalations.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, and other consultants to ensure integrated design delivery.
• Review and approve material submissions, finishes, and construction methods.
• Ensure compliance with local building regulations, zoning laws, and statutory requirements.
• Support permit acquisition, approvals, and inspections.
• Maintain architectural documentation, design standards, and project records.
• Approve mock‑ups and sample rooms before bulk execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Registered with the Ghana Institute of Architects (GIA) or equivalent professional body.
• 5–8 years of progressive architectural experience, including 3–5 years in construction or real‑estate development.
• Strong knowledge of local building regulations, standards, and sustainable design principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project‑management abilities.
