Area Sales Manager & Business Developer West Africa

About the role

PALFINGER is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager & Business Developer to lead the growth of its crane and lifting solutions across West Africa. You will be responsible for shaping the regional sales strategy, expanding the dealer network, and building strong relationships with distributors and key customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a regional sales plan that drives revenue growth and market expansion for PALFINGER products.
• Identify, evaluate, and appoint new dealers in collaboration with the Network Development department.
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing distributors, strategic partners, and key customers.
• Conduct market analysis to uncover new industry segments and business opportunities.
• Provide product expertise, lead commercial negotiations, and support partners throughout the sales cycle.
• Monitor sales performance, prepare forecasts and reports, and coordinate with internal teams for project delivery.

Required profile

• Fluent in French and English.
• Proven sales and business development experience in industrial equipment, lifting solutions, or related B2B sectors.
• Strong understanding of distributor management and market development, preferably with experience in West Africa.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship‑building skills with multicultural stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, travel frequently across the region, and manage complex sales cycles.
