Associate Attorney

About the role

Edfields Attorneys is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its corporate law team in Ghana. The role focuses on providing legal support to SMEs and growing businesses, with a particular interest in natural resources law.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts and other corporate documents.
• Conduct thorough legal research and provide written legal advice on corporate governance, labor and employment matters, and dispute resolution.
• Manage client files, track case progress and ensure timely delivery of legal services.
• Represent clients in negotiations and, where required, in dispute resolution proceedings.
• Collaborate with senior partners to develop tailored legal solutions for clients.

Required profile

• Bar admission and a license to practice law in Ghana.
• Strong interest and knowledge in natural resources law.
• In‑depth experience handling a variety of corporate matters, including commercial contracts, corporate governance and dispute resolution.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
