Associate Professor, Computing & Information Systems

About the role

The Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU) seeks a qualified Associate Professor to join its Faculty of Computing and Information Systems. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, research, and community service across one of the department’s specialisations, fostering academic excellence in a technology‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the chosen department (e.g., Mobile & Pervasive Computing, Information Systems, IT, Computer Science, or General Studies).
• Supervise student projects, theses, and dissertations.
• Conduct high‑quality research and publish in recognised journals.
• Participate in faculty development, curriculum design, and accreditation activities.
• Engage in community outreach and professional service aligned with university goals.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in a relevant discipline.
• Current appointment as Associate Professor at a recognised university, or a Senior Lecturer with at least four years of experience and a record of ten peer‑reviewed publications.
• Three professional referees with contact details.
