Associate Professor – Multiple Engineering & Science Disciplines

About the role

Koforidua Technical University is seeking highly qualified candidates for Associate Professor appointments across a range of engineering, science, health, business and law disciplines. The positions are full‑time, on‑site roles focused on teaching, research and industry collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate lectures and practical sessions in the assigned discipline.
• Supervise student research projects, theses and dissertations.
• Conduct original research, publish in reputable peer‑reviewed journals and secure research funding.
• Develop and update curricula to reflect current industry standards.
• Engage with industry partners for technology transfer, consultancy and collaborative projects.
• Participate in departmental and university service, including committees and accreditation activities.

Required profile

• Current appointment as Associate Professor in a recognized public or accredited private tertiary institution.
• PhD in the relevant field of specialization.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching, research and industry‑related innovation.
• Minimum of eight peer‑reviewed publications after promotion to Senior Lecturer.
• Evidence of industry experience and membership in a professional body is an advantage.
