About the role

The University of Cape Coast is seeking an Associate Programme Officer to support the delivery and administration of its development programmes. Reporting to the Vice‑Chancellor through the Programme Coordinator, the role is based on the Cape Coast campus and involves close collaboration with academic, private‑sector and community partners.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist the Programme Coordinator in the technical and administrative delivery of the programme.
  • Provide support for recruitment, capacity building and onboarding of programme staff and scholars.
  • Establish and nurture partnerships with private‑sector organisations, TVETs and other institutions to enhance community engagement and student training.
  • Support resource mobilisation efforts and contribute to fundraising activities for programme scaling.
  • Participate in monthly programme meetings and prepare regular reports for the RUFORUM Secretariat.
  • Conduct beneficiary student studies and document learning outcomes.
  • Contribute to institutional transformation initiatives and knowledge dissemination.

Required profile

  • Master’s degree in agricultural sciences or a related discipline (PhD preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years experience coordinating development programmes.
  • Proven track record in resource mobilisation from international donors.
  • Evidence of publications in SCOPUS‑indexed journals.
  • Flexibility to travel on short notice and adapt working hours as needed.
