Business & Accounting Teacher (Secondary & A‑Level)

About the role

Lotus International School is seeking a dedicated Business & Accounting Teacher to deliver engaging lessons to secondary and A‑Level learners. The role involves planning, teaching, assessing and supporting students in both subjects while fostering a supportive classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and prepare lesson materials aligned with the school curriculum and assessment standards.
• Teach scheduled Business Studies and Accounting classes, encouraging participation and critical thinking.
• Assess student performance, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate academic records.
• Support students in exam preparation and integrate real‑world business and financial concepts.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching practices and contribute to staff meetings.
• Participate in co‑curricular activities and communicate with parents or guardians as needed.

Required profile

• Strong subject knowledge in Business Studies and Accounting, suitable for secondary and A‑Level instruction.
• Proven classroom teaching skills, including lesson planning, delivery and classroom management.
• Experience with student assessment, grading and providing academic feedback.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Education or a related field; teaching certification is an advantage.
• Previous experience in an international or standards‑based school setting is beneficial.
• Comfort with educational technology and digital tools to enhance learning.
