Business & Accounting Teacher

About the role

The Business & Accounting Teacher will deliver engaging Business Studies and Accounting lessons to secondary and A‑Level students at Lotus International School, following the school’s curriculum and assessment standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and prepare lesson materials and resources.
• Teach scheduled classes and facilitate classroom discussions.
• Assess student performance, record grades and provide constructive feedback.
• Support students in exam preparation and integrate real‑world business and financial concepts.
• Maintain accurate academic records and uphold school policies and student well‑being.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching practices.
• Participate in staff meetings, co‑curricular activities and communicate with parents or guardians as needed.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Business Studies and Accounting, able to teach at secondary and A‑Level.
• Proven classroom teaching skills, including lesson planning, delivery and classroom management.
• Experience in student assessment, grading and providing feedback.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Education or related field; teaching certification or licence is an advantage.
• Previous experience in an international or standards‑based school is beneficial.
• Comfort with educational technology and digital tools.
• Commitment to professional growth and fostering an inclusive classroom environment.
