Business Analyst – Fintech & Payments

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to drive the development of fintech and payment solutions for a fast‑growing technology organization operating across Africa. The role will focus on translating business needs into actionable specifications for digital wallets, payment rails, card products and compliance initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and document business and functional requirements.
• Prepare development‑ready specifications for fintech and payment products.
• Collaborate with product, PMO, API and development teams.
• Support digital wallets, payment rails, card products and KYC/AML initiatives.
• Conduct market and competitor analysis within the fintech ecosystem.
• Assist with user acceptance testing, testing scenarios and release validation.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in fintech, payments or digital banking.
• Strong understanding of wallets, payment systems, KYC/AML and compliance.
• Proven experience in business case development, requirement gathering and documentation.
• Exposure to mobile money, cross‑border payments or card integrations is a plus.
