Business Intelligence Analyst

About the role

The Business Intelligence Analyst will support Ecobank’s BI systems transformation by turning business requirements into actionable dashboards, reports, and data models. This role works closely with internal clients, directors, and developers to deliver high‑performance reporting solutions that drive strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Create new reporting data models in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Build, maintain, and enhance dashboards, scorecards, and reports using tools such as SSRS, Qlikview, or Business Objects.
• Develop ad‑hoc and stored‑procedure queries to investigate data issues and design new report structures.
• Assist in designing ETL processes to populate summary data structures and analysis cubes.
• Define data access methods and contribute to the layout of reporting environments.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to capture functional requirements and technical integration details.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics, Business Administration or related field.
• Experience with relational databases and star‑schema concepts.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving ability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications and multi‑dimensional reports.
• Customer‑service orientation and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
