Business Manager – Farm Mechanization & Rent-to-Own

About the role

Farmerline is launching a new farm mechanization and rent‑to‑own (RTO) business in Ghana for 2026. The Business Manager will lead this venture, coordinating with internal teams, independent operators, repairers, and AgroChampions to turn a USD 2 million equipment investment into a profitable operation from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve annual revenue targets for mechanization and RTO services and set fair, profitable pricing.
• Boost machine utilization, minimize idle time, and coordinate weekly service schedules with AgroChampions and Commercial Managers.
• Ensure reliable, timely service delivery and accurate payment tracking for drying, threshing, cleaning, tractor work, and other mobile mechanization activities.
• Design simple, fair repayment and down‑payment plans for the RTO program, using digital tools to train farmers and monitor repayments.
• Prevent fraud, manage late follow‑ups, and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
• Build strong relationships with farmer groups, commercial clients, and community partners to foster loyalty and repeat business.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading agribusiness or mechanization operations.
• Track record of meeting revenue targets and managing large equipment investments.
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, including independent operators and commercial teams.
• Strong analytical skills for pricing, utilization, and repayment monitoring.
