About the role

The Canva Designer role at Metaschool AI is a full-time, on-site position based in Ghana. The Canva Designer will create visually compelling graphics, lesson covers, social media assets, and marketing materials aligned with the brand’s educational mission and visual identity.

Key responsibilities

• Create graphics, lesson covers, social media assets, and marketing materials that reflect the educational mission.
• Collaborate with educators, content creators, and marketing teams to translate academic concepts into clear visual content.
• Manage and maintain design templates for consistency across platforms.
• Optimize assets for various devices, including low‑bandwidth and basic feature phones.
• Ensure quality, accessibility, and brand consistency in all visual materials.
• Iterate designs based on feedback and maintain organized design files.
• Support campaigns that promote continuous learning and student engagement.

Required profile

• Strong Canva design skills, including template creation and educational visuals.
• Solid understanding of graphic design fundamentals such as layout, typography, color theory, and basic image editing.
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and translate ideas into visual content.
• Attention to detail, good time‑management, and capacity to handle multiple design requests and deadlines.
• Familiarity with digital content for web and mobile, especially optimization for low‑bandwidth or basic devices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; knowledge of local Ghanaian languages is a plus.
• Interest in education, technology, and improving student learning outcomes in Ghana.
• Relevant coursework or experience in design, media, communications, or a related field; portfolio showcasing Canva work is required.
