Cash Fraud Analyst

About the role

The Fraud Management Lead is responsible for safeguarding Telecel Ghana’s cash revenue and ensuring operational resilience by designing and overseeing a comprehensive fraud prevention framework. Based in Accra, the role focuses on detecting and mitigating fraud across commissions, third‑party integrations and Mobile Money Interoperability.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end fraud management operations, ensuring timely detection, response and mitigation of incidents.
• Implement and maintain controls and systems to prevent fraud in high‑risk areas such as commissions, third‑party integrations and Mobile Money Interoperability.
• Lead fraud risk assessments for new and existing products, aligning with Security‑by‑Design principles.
• Identify emerging fraud schemes, coordinate mitigation measures and monitor evolving threat landscapes.
• Analyse internal and external fraud trends, generate insights and report findings to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with audit requirements, regulatory mandates and lawful disclosure obligations.
• Participate in internal and external fraud forums and collaborate cross‑functionally on risk mitigation.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in fraud management, revenue assurance or telecom/IT operations.
• Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating complex data into strategic insights.
• Results‑driven attitude with focus on process optimisation and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Proficiency with anti‑fraud tools and systems.
• Experience using transaction monitoring platforms.
• Knowledge of risk detection platforms.
• Understanding of telecom/IT infrastructure.
