CCTV Controller – Alarm Monitoring & Incident Management

About the role

The CCTV Controller is responsible for overseeing alarm systems, reporting incidents, and ensuring smooth coordination among security teams. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the effectiveness of security operations through vigilant monitoring and timely response.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor alarm signals, perform hourly call checks, and respond to field‑to‑test alarms.
• Generate incident reports and manage guard monitoring signals.
• Conduct real‑time monitoring using Geotab and Protrack platforms.
• Program client alarm accounts and manage alarm data within the Oryx system.
• Identify guard assistance needs and communicate with team members and other departments to ensure coordinated operations.

Required profile

• Minimum a degree‑level education.
• Strong computer literacy and ability to use specialised software tools.
• Excellent customer service skills and the capacity to handle challenging situations.
• Flexibility to work within a shift system and manage time‑sensitive tasks.
• Attention to detail and basic knowledge of security operations.
• Good interpersonal and communication abilities for effective team collaboration.

Required skills

• Experience with Geotab monitoring platform.
• Experience with Protrack monitoring platform.
• Proficiency in using the Oryx alarm management system.
