Commercial Manager – Project Commercial Management in Ghana

About the role

Mowlem Group is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join its on‑site team in Ghana on a permanent expatriate assignment. You will be responsible for commercial and contract management, procurement, and cost & value management throughout the lifecycle of a major infrastructure project.

Key responsibilities

• Secure financial instruments such as tender, performance and retention bonds, advance payment guarantees, and professional indemnity insurance.
• Prepare and submit monthly financial progress reports to the employer.
• Manage the Daily Activity Book (DAB), organise site visits and maintain required documentation.
• Monitor budget, cost versus value, and provide internal reporting on financial performance.
• Identify and pursue claim entitlements, ensuring protection of the company’s position upstream and downstream.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in commercial management or quantity surveying on large construction projects.
• Previous overseas assignment or strong background in international project environments.
• Demonstrated ability to lead on‑site teams and manage complex contracts.
