About the role
Marriott International is seeking a Commis II to support the Food & Beverage operations at its Accra location. The role involves preparing ingredients, cooking under supervision, and maintaining a clean kitchen environment.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and portion ingredients, wash, peel, and measure produce and other items.
- Cook foods according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, using ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
- Monitor food quality, test doneness, and ensure correct temperatures of appliances and dishes.
- Set up and break down work stations, serve food in proper portions, and maintain sanitation of kitchen areas, tools and equipment.
- Follow company safety, security and hygiene policies, report incidents and complete required safety training.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least one year of related kitchen or food preparation experience.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 25 lb and perform repetitive motions throughout a shift.
- No supervisory experience required.
