Communications Manager (Part‑time)

About the role

Sightsavers is seeking an experienced Communications Manager to help deliver its global communications strategy and thematic plans, with a focus on health and disability inclusion across Africa. The role is part‑time (25‑28 hours per week) on a 9‑month fixed‑term contract, offering flexibility around working hours.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation of Sightsavers’ global communications strategy.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop persuasive content and communication products.
• Produce creative materials that reflect the organisation’s work in Kenya, Nigeria, Zambia or Ghana.
• Provide on‑the‑ground communications support to programme teams in the field.
• Assist in the creation of thematic communication plans aligned with health and advocacy goals.

Required profile

• Proven experience in communications, preferably within global health or disability inclusion.
• Strong understanding of African contexts and ability to work with diverse programme teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
