Computational Mathematics Research Specialist (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Computational Mathematics Research Specialist to develop high‑quality, research‑grade mathematical problems for graduate‑level quantitative reasoning. This short‑term contract is fully remote and offers $80 per approved task.

Key responsibilities

• Design and author computational mathematics problems using scientific coding and Python.
• Create graduate‑level quantitative reasoning and computational problem‑solving tasks.
• Define problem categories, difficulty levels, and relevant classifications.
• Develop accurate, logically rigorous solutions employing mathematical and computational methods.
• Review and validate the accuracy and quality of problems and solutions.
• Collaborate with reviewers and project teams to refine content and maintain quality standards.
• Ensure all solutions are scientifically accurate, reproducible, and well documented.

Required profile

• PhD or PhD candidate in Computational Mathematics, Numerical Linear Algebra, Computational Mechanics, or a related field.
• At least one peer‑reviewed research publication.
• Strong analytical thinking and mathematical problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• LinkedIn profile is mandatory.
