Contract Manager (Security) – Mining Sector

About the role

The Contract Manager will lead both operational and strategic aspects of a security contract for a mining client. The focus is on client retention, optimal staffing, and maintaining high standards of conduct on site.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile invoices promptly and ensure accurate billing.
• Allocate staff to appropriate positions, monitor turnover, and maintain adequate relief, reserve, and contingency personnel.
• Uphold G4S’s code of conduct and disciplinary standards among all security staff.
• Maintain strong client relationships to ensure retention and effective communication.
• Report security KPIs to management and ensure only trained, registered personnel are deployed.
• Identify new business opportunities and promote integrated security solutions.
• Conduct security risk assessments and daily checks of site instructions, equipment, and officer fitness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Security Management or related field; security certificate is a plus.
• 3–5 years of experience in security operations, preferably in mining or industrial environments.
• Proven ability to manage large teams and enforce discipline.
• Strong background in surveillance, investigations and incident reporting.
