About the role
The Country Manager will lead our Ghana operations, driving sales, managing relationships with financial institutions, and ensuring profitable growth. This senior position reports to regional leadership and is responsible for both commercial performance and regulatory compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Lead sales and relationship management teams to acquire new business, secure renewals, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Develop and execute country‑specific sales strategies aligned with regional and global objectives.
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline, provide accurate forecasts, and report performance metrics.
- Own the commercial P&L, create annual operating plans, budgets, and monitor financial results.
- Build and nurture relationships with C‑suite stakeholders at key financial institutions.
- Lead strategic negotiations and oversee execution of commercial agreements.
- Engage with government and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with local laws and industry standards.
- Recruit, coach, and develop a high‑performing local team, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
- Provide market intelligence on the Ghana banking sector, competitor activity, and emerging trends.
- Ensure efficient sales operations, customer onboarding, and service delivery through performance dashboards and KPI analysis.
Required profile
- Minimum 10 years of experience in financial services or banking, with a strong track record in sales growth and P&L management.
- Experience in the banking ATM or payments industry is highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage complex sales cycles.
- Excellent communication skills and experience presenting to senior stakeholders.
