Creative Writing Facilitator – After‑School Program

About the role

The Krodua Foundation for Literary and Creative Arts is looking for enthusiastic Creative Writing Facilitators to join its Young Creatives Academy after‑school program. You will inspire children and young people across Ghana to explore storytelling, poetry, and imaginative writing.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging creative‑writing lessons for children and young people.
• Introduce concepts such as character development, world‑building, dialogue, and poetry.
• Provide constructive feedback on learners’ work and encourage confidence.
• Support learners in preparing stories and poems for publication and competitions.
• Maintain attendance records and basic progress reports.
• Collaborate with the academy team on program activities and showcases.

Required profile

• Background in Creative Writing, Literature, English, Education, Journalism, Publishing, or a related field.
• Experience teaching, mentoring, or working with children and young people.
• Strong writing and communication abilities.
• Enthusiasm for developing young talent and creating an inclusive learning environment.
• Published work, teaching experience, or literary‑industry experience is an advantage.
