Digital Agronomist

About the role

The Digital Agronomist will turn approved agronomic science into safe, localized digital guidance that scales across farms, enabling reliable triage, verifiable field work and continuous improvement through evidence‑based outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Translate approved crop protocols into digital decision logic, designing decision trees and rule tables for planting, nutrition, irrigation, protection and harvest.
• Maintain and prioritize a digital agronomy backlog, ensuring coverage across crops, varieties, geographies and farmer segments while managing conflicts and evidence requirements.
• Develop and test omni‑channel advisory content (SMS, USSD, IVR, WhatsApp) tailored to farmer literacy, language and device constraints.
• Define and manage an accountable case model for remote triage, including issue categorization, evidence capture, escalation and resolution tracking.
• Collaborate with product, data and field teams to specify, test and release agronomic features, and monitor post‑release performance.

Required profile

• Professional/Specialist level expertise in agronomy and digital agriculture.
• Reports to Senior Agronomist Director and may coordinate interns or temporary field validators.
