Director, Research and Consultancy

About the role

The Ghana Technology University College seeks a visionary Director to lead its research and consultancy activities across multiple campuses. The role involves shaping research strategy, securing funding, and fostering collaborations with national and international institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive research agenda aligned with the university’s mission.
• Identify, pursue, and manage public and private research grants at national and international levels.
• Build and maintain a robust network of academic and industry partners.
• Oversee proposal development, submission, reporting, and budget administration.
• Mentor faculty and staff in research excellence and consultancy practices.

Required profile

• PhD with a distinguished record of academic leadership.
• Minimum five years of experience in a tertiary institution, including at least three years in senior leadership (e.g., Faculty Dean or Head of Department).
• Proven track record in obtaining research funding and publishing scholarly work.
• Eligibility for appointment at senior lecturer level or higher.
