Electrical Field Engineer (Renewables)

About the role

The Electrical Field Engineer (Renewables) will join Zerosol Energies in Accra to lead on‑site activities for solar power and electric‑vehicle charging projects across Ghana and West Africa. This full‑time position involves hands‑on installation, commissioning, testing and maintenance of renewable energy systems while ensuring compliance with local standards and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee installation, commissioning, testing and maintenance of solar and EV supply equipment at client sites.
• Conduct electrical assessments and prepare technical reports.
• Ensure all work complies with Ghanaian electrical safety standards and quality assurance practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in renewable energy and power distribution systems.
• Coordinate with project managers, technicians and external partners to optimise system performance.
• Support training activities and contribute to continuous improvement of zero‑emission solutions.

Required profile

• Relevant degree (HND, BTech, BSc) in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Professional certifications in renewable energy or power systems are a plus.
• Proven on‑site experience in field engineering, preferably within renewable energy or power distribution projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety standards, regulatory requirements and quality assurance.
• Willingness to travel across Ghana and West Africa and work in outdoor environments.
