Electrical & Instrumentation Supervisor – Process Plant

About the role

AngloGold Ashanti is redeveloping the Obuasi Gold Mine into a modern, fully mechanised operation. We are looking for an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Supervisor to lead the installation and maintenance of plant electrical and instrumentation systems on a day‑shift and night‑shift basis.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise electrical, instrumentation and automation refurbishment and maintenance tasks in compliance with Ghana government and AGAG regulations.
• Support technicians during day‑shift work and night‑shift call‑outs, ensuring safe execution.
• Maintain fixed plant assets including crushers, conveyor systems, pumps, ball and SAG mills, vibrating screens, feeders, cranes, hoists, cyclones and tanks.
• Perform preventive‑maintenance inspections, motor disconnect/reconnect, VSD and PLC programming, and condition monitoring.
• Participate in root‑cause failure analysis for dewatering equipment and assist with shutdown coordination.
• Interface with contractors and construction teams for refurbishment and planned works.
• Assist the E&I Superintendent in developing condition‑monitoring routes and energy‑management initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in electrical and instrumentation supervision within a process‑plant environment.
• Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental legislation applicable in Ghana.
• Ability to work both day and night shifts and respond to call‑outs.
• Effective communication with contractors, engineering teams and operational staff.
