About the role

Marriott International is seeking a skilled Electrician to join its Engineering & Facilities team in Accra. The role involves installing, testing, and maintaining electrical systems across hotel properties, ensuring safety and compliance with local codes.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, and fixtures using hand and power tools.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair malfunctioning tools, equipment, and electrical components.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components, following National Electric Code and local regulations.
• Use testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to verify system performance.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to plan layout and installation.
• Respond to repair requests, perform preventive maintenance, and manage inventory of parts and supplies.
• Adhere to all safety, security, and company policies, reporting hazards or incidents promptly.

Required profile

• Entry‑level qualification with at least 2 years of related electrical work experience.
• Technical or vocational training in electrical trades.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 10 lb without assistance.
