Energy Lead – Site Energy Management

About the role

The Energy Lead operates at the site level within the technical department, reporting to the Technical Manager. The role works closely with plant, maintenance, production and process teams as well as external suppliers and regulators to drive energy efficiency, reduce consumption and support the company’s sustainability objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a multi‑year plan to achieve the site’s 2030 energy intensity and GHG reduction targets, aligned with corporate Science‑Based Targets (SBTi).
• Continuously monitor site energy consumption through the Energy Management System (EMS), identify trends, anomalies and provide actionable insights.
• Assess assets, processes and systems to uncover energy‑saving opportunities and lead implementation projects, collaborating with maintenance and process teams.
• Implement global energy standards on the site, ensuring compliance with ISO 50001 and relevant energy regulations.
• Report progress against KPIs, update the roadmap regularly and communicate results to internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in site‑level energy management or similar role.
• Familiarity with corporate sustainability frameworks such as Science‑Based Targets (SBTi).
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with technical, production and external stakeholder groups.

Required skills

• Energy Management System (EMS) usage and data analysis.
• Knowledge of ISO 50001 energy management standards.
• Understanding of renewable energy integration and low‑carbon technologies.
