English QA Lead (Remote Contract)

About the role

This is a remote, hourly contract position where you will act as the English Quality Assurance Lead for AI training projects. You will ensure that AI‑generated English content and trainer work meet strict quality standards, providing clear written feedback and maintaining consistent documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Review AI‑generated English content and trainer/QA outputs against project rubrics.
• Evaluate accuracy, clarity, reasoning, grammar, tone, formatting, and instruction‑following.
• Identify recurring quality issues and communicate updates to trainers and QAs.
• Support onboarding of new contributors and maintain style guides, FAQs, trackers, and other quality documentation.
• Activate and follow‑up with contributors who are inconsistent, handling escalations across time zones.
• Collaborate with remote teams using Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, and project‑management dashboards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Linguistics, Communications, Journalism, Education, AI/Data Annotation, Quality Assurance or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in quality assurance, editing, content review, AI training, annotation, or localization QA.
• Proven experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, or QAs.
• Strong ability to evaluate work against detailed rubrics and provide constructive feedback.
• Excellent written communication skills and high attention to detail.
