Finance & Data Analyst

About the role

The Finance & Data Analyst will lead data analysis and financial monitoring for a fast‑growing multinational SME lending fintech operating across Africa. Reporting to the senior management team of Quick Credit & Investment Micro‑Credit Ltd., you will ensure accurate financial reporting and support strategic decision‑making across all subsidiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily financial records reported by all subsidiaries and perform daily reconciliations of bank and mobile‑money accounts.
• Scrutinise subsidiary expenses to detect potential fraud and approve expense requests.
• Analyse sales performance, loan applications, defaults and repayments, providing insights by gender, loan size, industry and other verticals.
• Prepare periodic financial reports for management and consolidate monthly reports for investors.
• Develop bottom‑up cost analyses to identify savings and forecast cash‑flow needs for the parent company.
• Formulate and enforce financial policies and risk‑aversion measures.

Required profile

• Degree or postgraduate qualification in Accounting, Finance or Data Science.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in banking or finance, with strong accounting and auditing background.
• Current pursuit or completion of ACCA or ICA designation is a plus.
• Highly proficient in Excel and financial modelling.
• Strong analytical mindset, organized self‑starter with excellent interpersonal skills.
