Finance Manager

About the role

Our client, a growing mining support services company, is looking for a commercially‑minded Finance Manager to join the management team in Obuasi. The role blends financial management, reporting, budgeting, controls and ERP optimisation while working closely with Production, Operations and Group Finance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day financial management, prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts and support month‑end, year‑end and audit processes.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow, variance analysis and monitor revenue, expenditure, margins, working capital and performance.
• Maintain and optimise ERP modules (GL, AP, AR, cash management, fixed assets, budgeting and reporting) and ensure data integrity.
• Strengthen financial controls, ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies and statutory requirements, and support tax compliance and audits.
• Partner with Production and Operations on cost management, analyse project and contract costs and identify savings opportunities.
• Lead, coach and develop the finance team and collaborate with Procurement, HR, IT and senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• Minimum five years of relevant experience, including finance‑manager level responsibilities.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to translate financial data into business decisions.
• Experience in mining, engineering, construction or other asset‑intensive environments is a plus.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Familiarity with SAP or Sage ERP systems.
• Practical knowledge of financial accounting, management accounting, budgeting, reporting and internal controls.
