Flavours Area Manager – Africa

About the role

Cosmos Aromática, part of Tradebe Life Sciences, is seeking an experienced Flavours Area Manager to lead the commercial development of its food flavour business across West and Central Africa. The role focuses on driving sales growth, building strategic customer relationships, and expanding market presence in high‑growth markets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the commercial strategy for West and Central Africa.
• Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within the Food & Beverage industry.
• Manage and strengthen relationships with key accounts, distributors, and strategic partners.
• Deliver annual sales, margin, and profitability targets.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of projects and business opportunities.
• Lead commercial negotiations and support contract management activities.
• Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with Technical, R&D, Marketing, Regulatory, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Finance teams for successful project execution.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and business reports.
• Represent the company at customer meetings, industry events, and trade exhibitions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Food Science, Chemistry, Marketing or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in the food flavours industry.
• Proven track record of business development and sales growth across African markets.
• Strong understanding of the Food & Beverage sector in West and Central Africa.
• Established network of customers, distributors, and industry contacts in the region.
• Experience managing distributor networks and indirect sales channels.
• Fluent in English and French; additional African languages a plus.
• Based in Africa with passport allowing visa‑free or visa‑on‑arrival travel across the region.
• Willingness to travel frequently across the region.
