Fleet and Transport Supervisor – Heavy Duty Trucks

About the role

The Fleet and Transport Supervisor will oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and daily management of professional heavy‑duty truck drivers, ensuring safety, efficiency and compliance with company policies and national transport regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage driver scheduling, shift rotations and coverage requirements.
• Maintain comprehensive driver records, including licences, certifications, training history and disciplinary actions.
• Monitor driver performance, KPIs and compliance with operational procedures and transport regulations.
• Conduct regular driver assessments, provide coaching and address performance gaps.
• Collaborate with Transport Officers and Fleet Maintenance to ensure drivers have appropriate trucks and equipment.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding and assignment of new drivers.

Required profile

• Four‑year degree from an accredited university.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage and influence driver teams.
• Excellent organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Willingness and ability to travel within Ghana as required.

Required skills

• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with transport management and tracking software (preferred).
