Freelance Akan Transcriptionist

About the role

Perle, an AI infrastructure company, is looking for a freelance transcriptionist fluent in Akan. You will work remotely, converting two‑speaker, channel‑separated audio recordings into clean, accurate transcripts with speaker labels and timestamps.

Key responsibilities

• Listen to 2‑speaker Akan audio files and type out every spoken word.
• Label each turn as Speaker 1 or Speaker 2, matching the corresponding audio channel.
• Insert timestamps at the start of each speaker turn (HH:MM:SS format).
• Deliver sequential transcripts without gaps and meet daily output targets.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native fluency in spoken and written Akan.
• Strong written Akan skills, including correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
• Ability to work independently for at least 4 hours per day.
• Access to a computer with a stable internet connection.
• Prior transcription experience is a plus, but all candidates must pass a qualification test.
