French-Speaking HR Consulting Trainee (Francophone West Africa)

About the role

GlobalHR Consulting is looking for a proactive, bilingual French-speaking HR consulting trainee to support recruitment consulting, business development and prospective regional partnership activities across Francophone West Africa. The role offers practical exposure to HR consulting, international recruitment, talent acquisition and business development, and is based remotely in Ghana or another approved West African location.

Key responsibilities

• Support recruitment assignments for French-speaking countries: source candidates via LinkedIn and other channels, screen and shortlist them, and maintain candidate databases and recruitment trackers.
• Research potential corporate clients and recruitment partners, build a database of prospects and contacts, and assist with business development proposals and outreach.
• Draft professional correspondence in French and English, translate and review recruitment materials, and support virtual meetings with French-speaking stakeholders.
• Assist HR Business Partners and consultants with client projects, recruitment reports and market research, while maintaining confidentiality.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma, HND or bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, international business, languages or a related field.
• Strong written and spoken French and English; ability to communicate confidently with French-speaking professionals.
• Research, writing and organisational skills; previous experience in recruitment, client research, translation or business development is an advantage but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and online collaboration tools.
• Familiarity with LinkedIn and other professional sourcing platforms.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and meet agreed deadlines.
