Frontend Developer (Intern/Early Contributor)

About the role

Join Cornerstone’s engineering team to help turn complex payment processes into simple, beautiful, and intuitive user experiences that drive financial inclusion across Africa. You will work remotely and collaborate with designers and backend engineers to build real‑time dashboards and USSD companion tools.

Key responsibilities

• Build responsive, accessible, and visually appealing UI components using React and modern CSS.
• Collaborate closely with design and backend teams to implement real‑time features and dashboards.
• Write clean, reusable, and well‑tested frontend code, optimizing for performance and mobile responsiveness.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience with React or a similar JavaScript framework.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Strong attention to detail in UI/UX and ability to translate designs into working interfaces.
