General Manager – Ghana

About the role

The General Manager will provide strategic direction and drive execution for AECI’s Business and AECI segments in Ghana. This senior leader will shape the division’s strategic imperatives, manage financial performance and secure future contracts to grow market share.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement business strategies, operational plans and alignment across the country.
• Lead financial management of the trial balance, balance sheet and income statement to maximise revenue, EBIT, gross margin, EVA and RONA.
• Develop and maintain key customer relationships, manage key accounts and ensure effective service contracts.
• Conduct risk assessments, define mitigation actions and ensure compliance with governance, safety, health and environmental standards.
• Represent AECI in negotiations with customers, suppliers, regulators and government agencies.
• Forecast capital and operational expenditures in line with corporate policy.

Required profile

• Technical qualification (NHD or Degree) preferably in Mining Engineering.
• 9‑12 years of relevant experience in mining operations, sales and commercial management.
• Business qualification (BCom, Masters or MBA) highly desirable.
• Deep knowledge of open‑pit, quarry and underground mining markets.
• Strong understanding of OHS, Competition, Companies, Labour, Explosives and transport legislation affecting the sector.
