About the role
The Methodist University College Ghana is a private tertiary institution established by the Methodist Church Ghana, with campuses in Accra (Dansoman), Tema and Wenchi. It is looking for a Head of the Department of Nursing, based in Dansoman, Accra.
Key responsibilities
- Organise, coordinate and supervise the Department of Nursing subject to the statutes and other enactments of the University College.
- Report to the Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences.
- Implement the Nursing programme effectively and efficiently.
- Maintain acceptable standards of teaching.
Required profile
- Professional nurse.
- Post-graduate qualification.
- At least 15 years of relevant experience, five of which at an administrative position.
- Served as Head or Assistant Head of a Nursing College.
- Senior Lecturer in a tertiary institution.
The appointment is initially for three years and may be renewed. Applications are made through the Registrar at the college; the closing date is 30 January 2017.
