About the role
The Development Bank Ghana is seeking a visionary leader to head its Corporate Communication & External Affairs function. This senior role will shape the bank’s communication strategy, enhance its brand, and manage relationships with key stakeholders across the public and development sectors.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy aligned with the bank’s mission and strategic objectives.
- Oversee creation of messaging and communication materials for internal and external audiences.
- Establish and maintain a governance framework for communication and public relations, including policies and procedures.
- Lead internal communication initiatives to keep staff informed and engaged.
- Build and manage relationships with regulators, government agencies, international organisations, civil society and other external partners.
- Design and coordinate public‑relations campaigns and crisis‑communication management.
Required profile
- Extensive experience in corporate communication, public relations, and knowledge management within the financial or development sector.
- Strong understanding of development banking and the regulatory environment.
- Proven leadership ability to drive strategic initiatives and manage cross‑functional teams.
