Head of HR & Talent Management

About the role

The Head of HR & Talent Management will lead all HR functions for Deloitte Ghana and its subsidiaries, driving strategy, compliance and talent development across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leadership to align staffing, recruitment, retention, training and talent development with business goals.
• Design, implement and oversee HR policies, processes, training initiatives and employee surveys.
• Manage compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary actions, investigations, performance management and occupational health and safety programs.
• Identify recruitment needs and execute best‑practice hiring strategies.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable labour laws and regulations.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of HR trends, regulatory changes and new technologies, and communicate relevant updates.
• Develop and control the HR department budget.
• Lead professional development, training and certification for HR staff.
• Prepare regular reports for the deputy CEO and ensure meetings follow the company calendar.

Required profile

• Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field; additional qualification in HR management preferred.
• Professional HR certification (e.g., IHRMP, PHR, SHRM, SPHR, CIPD) is a plus.
• Minimum 8 years of HR managerial experience in a corporate environment.
• Strong integrity, discretion with confidential matters and excellent communication skills.
• Proven leadership, analytical, problem‑solving and organizational abilities.
• Thorough knowledge of labour law and regulations.
• Willingness to work non‑traditional hours, travel on short notice and adapt to organizational needs.
