Head of Operations

About the role

Coastal Commerce Microfinance Ltd is seeking a dynamic Head of Operations to lead and optimise the daily functions of its branches across Takoradi and the Western Region. Reporting to senior management, you will ensure operational excellence, compliance and superior customer service as the institution expands.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily branch operations and banking service functions.
• Develop and implement procedures to boost efficiency and service quality.
• Ensure compliance with policies, internal controls and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor customer service standards, address complaints and operational challenges.
• Analyse performance data, identify improvement areas and prepare reports for senior management.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of banking services.
• Assess operational risks and recommend corrective actions.
• Support business expansion and rollout of new initiatives.
• Ensure staff receive training on procedures and service standards.

Required profile

• Degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field; professional banking qualifications are a plus.
• 5–7 years of relevant banking or micro‑finance experience, including management responsibilities.
• High ethical standards, strong leadership and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Solid understanding of banking operations, internal controls, risk management and regulatory requirements.
• Customer‑focused mindset with ability to work under pressure and deliver results.
