Head of Preschool

About the role

The Head of Preschool will lead the Early Years programme at Golden Standard International School in Adenta. This full‑time, on‑site position is responsible for delivering a Cambridge‑aligned curriculum, ensuring high‑quality teaching, and creating a safe, nurturing environment for young learners.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee curriculum implementation and ensure alignment with Cambridge standards.
• Lead, mentor and evaluate preschool educators, providing regular classroom observations and feedback.
• Coordinate staff training, lesson planning and timetable management.
• Monitor student progress, support inclusive practices and maintain effective communication with families.
• Collaborate with the senior leadership team on strategic planning, admissions support and community engagement initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities with at least five years of experience in early childhood education.
• Proven experience in a preschool leadership or senior educational role.
• Commitment to safeguarding, child protection and inclusive, culturally responsive learning.
• Alignment with GSIS values of Knowledge, Truth and Integrity.

Required skills

• Expertise in Early Years education and child development.
• Familiarity with international or Cambridge‑aligned curricula.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with children, families and staff.
• Strong organisational and administrative capabilities, including documentation and reporting.
