Human Resources Manager

About the role

The Human Resources Manager will lead the HR function for a growing micro‑finance institution, ensuring policies, recruitment and employee development align with business goals. This role reports to senior management and contributes to a positive, ethical workplace culture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR policies, procedures and strategies.
• Manage recruitment, selection, onboarding and employee placement.
• Maintain effective employee relations and address workplace concerns.
• Coordinate performance management and appraisal processes.
• Design and deliver staff training and development programmes.
• Oversee disciplinary and grievance processes fairly and professionally.
• Support succession planning and talent development.
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
• Advise management on HR matters and workforce planning.
• Promote a positive, ethical and productive organisational culture.

Required profile

• Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in banking, micro‑finance or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of HR practices, employee relations, performance management and employment procedures.
• High ethical standards, integrity and strong leadership ability.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Understanding of banking regulations, corporate governance and risk management.
