Inventory Management Associate

About the role

Genser Energy Ghana Limited (GEGL), subsidiary of Genser Energy, is hiring an Inventory Management Associate for its Operations & Maintenance (OM) / Power division in Takoradi, Ghana. The role reports directly to the Plant Manager and covers the receipt, storage and issuance of supplies and equipment, keeping inventory levels accurate and preventing stock-outs.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate unloading and receipt of goods and equipment from suppliers, and monitor and record inventory transactions in the inventory system (receiving, stocking, transfers, returns).
• Run regular cycle counts and support full inventory audits, reconcile discrepancies and report variances to the Inventory Superintendent.
• Work with operational teams and purchasing to forecast demand and ensure stock availability.
• Help organize storage areas, stores and warehouses, label and tag items, and generate periodic inventory reports.
• Ensure compliance with Genser's safety policies and suggest improvements to inventory tracking.
• Support the monthly budget, cost control and expenditure forecasting, and align spending with scheduled activities.
• Supervise the team, carry out performance appraisals and development plans, and coordinate leave schedules.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Materials Management, Engineering or a related field (mandatory).
• Minimum 4 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in a heavy engineering company in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Multicultural experience and proficiency in French or Chinese are a plus.
