Inventory & Materials Management Analyst

About the role

The Analyst, Inventory & Materials Management will execute daily, weekly and monthly materials planning routines for the Obuasi Mine. The role supports materials requirement planning, controls stock levels and ensures compliance with supply‑chain standards while collaborating with Operations, Maintenance, Procurement and Finance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform inventory and materials management processes, including cataloguing new items in SAP using ANSI/ANCI procedures.
• Review weekly planned orders, convert them to purchase requisitions and conduct Min/Max stock reviews based on usage and lead times.
• Generate data for the annual supply‑chain budget, identify cost‑reduction opportunities and present recommendations.
• Maintain compliance with OHS, environmental and SOX requirements, reporting incidents and corrective actions.
• Develop and execute inventory optimisation initiatives, including manual forecasting and proactive critical spares reviews.
• Support cycle‑count scheduling, reporting and management of obsolete or slow‑moving stock.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP Materials Master data management.
• Experience in ANSI/ANCI cataloguing processes.
• Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities.
• Knowledge of inventory optimisation, cost reduction analysis and supply‑chain budgeting.
